Happy Birthday to my 4th beautiful baby Israel aka Izzy. She turned 5 today. She loves to play with her babies and talk about being a mommy someday. She is such a sweetie. Her middle name Joy fits her well. She lives up to that name everyday. She is the toughest princess that I know. She takes everything in stride. I only pray that God will continue to give me the wisdom to raise her to Love Him with all her heart, mind, soul and strength. I am so thankful for this little lady being in my life.
Welcome to my blog. This is an outlet for me to write about the amazing Grace of God in my little corner of the world. I do not profess to be a writer but one thing that I know is that I love the Lord and I seek to glorify Him in all aspects of my life. Thank you for visiting and please come again. God bless you today my friend.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of rigteousness
for his name's sake. Psalm 23:1-3 NIV
We were about to leave for the library and the park and I was rushing the children to hurry up and get in the van. I have to admit that I wasn't the sweet mommy that I should have been and instead had an irritated tone and a stern demeanor. What happened to my joy? When I finally got everyone settled in the van and was starting to leave I saw this horse in the pasture next door.It was such a beautiful sight and I had to get a picture. My plan was to go to story time and have a picnic at the park. It seemed like a brilliant idea in my brain the night before but the morning started out with all kinds of disruptions and things that shouldn't have caused me frustration. What about the perfect day that I planned? Weren't we supposed to go skipping through the park holding hands and singing songs like Sound of Music?
My last two months have been a rollercoaster of emotions as I try to adjust to having a new baby, returning to homeschooling and my dh's ever changing work schedule. I am really behind in my housework and I have been feeling like a failure for not having everything back under control. I hear the Lord whispering to my heart that this is all a part of the plan and I can't do anything in my own strength. I hear the scriptures jumping out at me.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1Peter 5:6-7
I am so glad that He invites me to come to Him and give Him all of my worries, frustrations, cares and burdens. I need to remember to run to Him even in the midst of my busy day. I am struggling to get a consistent quiet time.Right now it is morning, night or whenever the baby naps lol. Writing out scriptures on index cards has really been a blessing. It helps me during the day kinda like an energy drink or coffee but without the crash period that follows the caffeine. Maybe I should have taped one to my steering wheel today! I am so glad that my children are forgiving and even more thankful for a God of mercy. We had a wonderful time at the library and park. There really wasn't a reason to rush and I could have planned better the night before. I am learning. Thank you Lord for constantly teaching me that Your Grace is sufficient for me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Introduction

Hello World! I am attempting to journal here on Blogger. My name is Veronica and I am married to my best friend D. We have been married for 13 years and have six wonderful children. We have 3 girls (12,4 and 2) and 3 boys (9,6 and 2 months). We are a christian homeschooling family. We love spending time together as a family. God has been so gracious to us. I stand amazed at how he has blessed me along this journey as a wife and mom. One day I will share my testimony here. Let's just say that my life is proof that He is a loving and merciful God.
I would love to use this blog to journal the daily happenings in our homeschool Remnant Academy, my homemaking adventures and about learning to be a better helpmeet. I have found so many wonderful and encouraging blogs written by very wise women here at Blogger. I am looking forward to meeting many friends here and gleaning more Titus 2 wisdom. When I think about the responsibility that the Lord has given me to be that example for my children, it is quite overwhelming. I started out with very little experience in homemaking and grew up as an only child but I loved babies and knew that I wanted to be a wife and a mom. I am thankful for all of the beautiful women of God that have poured into my life and I hope to be that example to other ladies someday. Right now I have three daughters in training to become Titus 2 Women.
As far as homeschooling, the Lord spoke to my hubby about that first. When it was time to ship my oldest off to school I had this very sad feeling. I wasn't ready to give her up. My hubby suggested that we could homeschool. I thought perhaps he didn't hear God clearly, that maybe God was saying "Home is cool", lol. I had just went through the heart change of coming home full-time to be with my daughter and son. This was just too much. The Lord really began to work in my heart and everywhere I turned I was hearing about homeschooling and meeting families that homeschooled. He placed a very special friend in my life that was a great encourager. She helped me to see that it could be done. I took the leap and never looked back. God's grace is truly amazing. That is how I chose the name of my blog. I can't say it any better than that.
I would love to have a nice page with pictures and buttons, etc.I did manage to figure out the music:-}. So, if anyone would like to help me I would appreciate it. Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by!
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ Jesus even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5
